A child abuse investigation has been launched after two former foster care providers admitted to sexually abusing a child, according to the Oregon Child Protection Task Force.

The investigation was launched on Dec. 16 after a tip from a child care worker in Eugene, Oregon.

The two former care providers, Kevin and Susan Johnson, are facing child abuse charges after the Oregon Department of Human Services reported that the Johnsons abused a child in Oregon in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The report, which was released to Breitbart News on Thursday, alleges that the child had been sexually abused in the care of Kevin Johnson, and that he had admitted to the abuse while in foster care.

The Department of Health and Human Services is currently conducting an investigation into the allegations.

The task force was formed in response to the deaths of five children in Oregon who were found to have been sexually assaulted by their foster parents.

The Johnsons, who are now married, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
